Thur Dec 22 is the final day of private lessons before Christmas Break.
Mon Jan 2 – Thur Jan 5, 2017 is ReScheduling Week. No lessons except by yellow slip requests from students.

EXAMS, FESTIVALS, PERFORMANCES and EXHIBITS

Royal Conservatory of Music exam registrations are due Jan 4 for the April performance session.
RIMS Mid-Winter Concerts Night Saturday, January 28 at Acton Town Hall. Availability slips due Wed Jan 18.
London College of Music exam book orders for electric guitar, drums, piano, keyboard and vocals are due Mon Jan 30.
Eighth Annual Student Composition Festival Mon Jan 16 – Sat Jan 28. Selected compositions invited to Sun Apr 2 Concert
National Guitar Museum, including the World’s largest playable guitar, visits Buffalo Museum of Science starting January 22.
Ontario Guitar Show runs in Elmira on Sun April 23.

ENSEMBLES

Congrats to Courting Taylor, SnapBacks, and Brett and Leah who collectively performed at Milton Winter Pop-Up Market, and parades in Milton, Campbellville, and Acton. Kudos to Dark Blue & the Electric Lizards and adult student band Three Chord Junkies on making their respective debuts!

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Acoustic Blend Cafe presents Aubrey Wilson Quartet on Sat Jan 21 at the Milton Legion. Open mic starts the show.
Sunday Night Jams at Black Swan Burlington. 8:00 start, drum set provided.
Friend of the studio, Vivian Hicks, recently performed on CityTV’s Breakfast Television with Mini-Pops.
Congrats to Milton Concert Band and Milton Philharmonic Orchestra on their respective seasonal concerts.

Milton: Recently concluded its tenancy of Halton Radio, which will continue operations from Acton.
Milton Central: Will host the New Music Concert Sun Apr 2.

ReScheduling requests can be made by advising administration by the 9:00PM before a lesson by phone call, email, or in person. Studio Policies. Drums students are requested to bring dry shoes to their lessons.
Tax receipts for music lesson fees paid in 2016 are issued by request in January. Email Rick.Imus@hotmail.com.
