Acoustic Night for bands

Acoustic Night for bands

Bands from Rick Imus Music Studio performed vocal and instrumental songs on acoustic instruments at Starbucks Kennedy Circle recently, part of Pop-Up PorchFest.

The occasion was Acoustic Night, marking the six month countdown to the third PorchFest Milton, which will go on the Sunday before Victoria Day.

Students on guitar, drums, piano and vocal performed for the appreciative audience.

Bandits, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, and SnapBacks with singer Roxy performed pop songs and instrumentals.

“We’re thrilled to have the talented students from the school on Bronte Street perform,” said Starbucks Manager Kyle Collins. “We look forward to having them back soon.”

The bands have come in out of the cold since performing in downtown Acton. They’ll be outside again at their next series of performances at the Holiday Street Market in Milton Sat December 1 and 8.

“Playing in the cold is always a fun challenge,” said Studio Director Rick Imus. “The key factor is preparation – both material and mental.”

The established music school will be making announcements shortly regarding its next International Road Trip. A parents meeting will be booked in December for its eight annual pilgrimage, loosely slated for Summer, 2019.
