Setup your home for Online Guitar Lessons

Learning guitar from home means setting up your station. Here are our top tips for lights, camera, action for online live video guitar lessons.

Get a chair that works. As tempting as it is to sit on the edge of a couch, you’ll want a firm surface with no arms. Dining chairs or barstools tend to work.

Headphone cables should go under the guitar neck.

Position the camera so the teacher can see the finger board. To the right of the student works.

Position the music stand to your left. Guitarists tend to look to their lefts to see the fingerboard, so that’s a comfortable place the position the sheet music.

Have a solid background. Visually busy backgrounds can be a distraction.

Close the door to contain background noise and prevent wandering pets from visiting.
